Silver Surfers @ Home

This Scheme is the brainchild of a few Guernsey residents. We thought in our infinate wisdom it was about time the community started to acknowledge the mature members of society and help them utilise and learn modern computing. Thats why I have set this scheme up, Silver Surfers @ Home. Its Aim to give residential home residents a little extra in their lives and raise awareness. We aspire to help Residential Homes in Guernsey to provide an access point with support to Residents and also getting the more mature among us involved in something different. With ongoing support from SS@H volunteers, the more mature community can be sure of an enriched experience using the latest technological advances in IT hardware and software, with people who will support them through their journey on the super highway!

Bingo in the Hall, Cool!! Bingo with a wider audience, WOW! Write a letter to your Nephew Simon in Sydney on paper. Lets hope the mailman gets there! Write a letter in Email, and Simon gets it in SECONDS!!

We take the Internet for granted. Bank Payments, Chat, Emails, Google, and even Dating!! These luxuries we take for granted in everyday life are available to everybody and anybody! Lets make the Internet accessible to these members of society on our island.
